The data shows that just eight patients were admitted to hospitals with coronavirus symptoms yesterday, and that there are a total of 138 patients currently in all North West hospitals, of which 18 are on ventilation.
At yesterday's Greater Manchester press conference*, Health Lead Richard Leese said that the "Vast number of people testing positive for COVID are either asymptomatic or have low level of symptoms...".
Both Richard Leese and GM Mayor Andy Burnham did however underline the "challenging situation" in the region... "We clearly need to bring the numbers down" said Burnham "Everyone needs to get more serious about doing what we can to bring the situation back to a better level..."
