Salford Community Media Partnership (SCMP) is looking for budding writers and photographers who would like to gain experience and get involved in producing the third issue of Salford Media Scene - the only magazine dedicated to Salford's creative community.

Full details here…

Salford Media Scene is now on its third issue and Salford Community Media Partnership, or SCMP, is looking for people to get involved in it by writing articles and taking photos.

There's also a short Journalism course running alongside the production of the mag which goes from the basics of writing to getting articles actually on the page with editing, sub-editing and things like that.

The magazine is a showcase for the talent that exists in the city, and in the first two issues local bands, poets, artists, film makers and fashion designers have all featured alongside big names like Maxine Peake, Christopher Eccleston, Peter Hook and Stephen Lordfor a PDF of the last issue click here

For Issue 3, SCMP is also looking for anyone in Salford doing anything creatively exciting who wants to appear in the magazine.

"This glossy magazine exists to showcase the unquestionable talent we have in Salford" says SCMP co-ordinator Linda Robson "We want this issue to be a celebration of the culture that exudes in the city and to be the platform for breaking new talent."

Anyone who wants to either get in involved in the production of Salford Media Scene, or wishes to be featured can contact: Linda Robson Tel: 07534 969007 or e-mail scmp@live.co.uk
