MARY BURNS AWARDS 2010
This will be the third time that the Salford Star has run the infamous Mary Burns Awards and there are loads of potential winners this year…
Last year the massive total of 40 Marys were awarded in Salford's longest ever awards ceremony, Salford City Council picking up a record 15 Awards for everything from the Uncle Joe Stalin Award for Open and Democratic Government to the Go Stand In The Corner Award For School Building.
Meanwhile, Hazel Blears weighed in with 7 Awards, including the Error of Judgement Award and the Hypocrite of the Year Award. Other notable winners included Peel Holdings (4 Marys), NWDA (3 Marys), Central Salford URC (3 Marys) and Urban Splash (2 Marys)
But who is going to clean up this year? Could it be Salford Council again? Can Hazel Blears still be a winner? Or can the new half a Salford MP Graham Stringer overtake her? We've got big hopes for Graham!
And how about Countryside Properties, LPC Living, MediaCityUK, Urban Splash, NWDA, Peel Holdings…what a year it's been!
If you need any reminders, just put a subject like, er Salford Council, into the search bar at the top of the page and it will bring everything up that we've published this year.
