This Saturday afternoon, Langworthy's Chimney Pot Park hosts a top festival of fun with everything from a Mini Olympics, to a climbing wall, a tea party, kids' rides and games and a massive celebration of local talent, including rappers, bands, singers, dancers and the Music Without Borders Choir live on stage. The Salford Star will also have a stall there, along with loads of other community groups.

Super Salford Saturday, organised by the Seedley and Langworthy Events Group, happens in Chimney Pot Park this Saturday 12-4pm.

Attractions include a mini Olympics, Spots v Stripes Games, a free Climbing Wall, Face Painting, Salford Talent Showcase and a special tea party organised by Chimney Pot Park Friends.

The Salford Star has a stall there, and we'll be giving out leaflets and selling specially made t-shirts and hoodies.  Meanwhile, on stage will be ace artistes including Briggzy and The Misfits, Death To The Strange, Suite 57 and MC Womble and showcases by CRIS and the Salford Foundation.  

On stage, every live act will perform for 15 minutes between the time 11:45 and 3:30pm. The full scheduled line up in order of appearance is…

SALFORD COUNCIL AJ BELL STADIUM WORTH £6.5MILLION DESPITE OVER £24MILLION PUBLIC LOANS

PEEL HOLDINGS WILL SELL STADIUM, SALFORD COUNCIL WON'T SAYS SALE SHARKS OWNER

Speaking to the BBC North West Tonight, Sale Sharks owner Simon Orange said that the AJ Bell Stadium, which has had over £24million in public money loans from Salford Council, has now been independently valued at just £6.5million.

He added that the Sharks had offered to buy the stadium at "more than 50% higher" than the valuation, but, while joint owners Peel Holdings were keen to sell, Salford Council were "not interested"
