Salford has 17 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 1,635, up from the previous day's 1,618.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, Manchester now has a total of 3,754 cases (up from 3,720), followed by Oldham with 2,581 (up from 2,567), Wigan 2,242 (up from 2,238), Bolton 2,157 (up from 2,144), Rochdale 2,058 (up from 2,048), Stockport 1,897 (up from 1,891), Tameside 1,772 (up from 1,768), Trafford 1,544 (same) and Bury 1,458 (up from 1,446).
There have been no new virus-related deaths at Salford Royal Hospital.
Across all hospitals in the North West, just eight patients have been admitted to hospitals on the most recent data date of 12th August, with a total of 138 patients in hospital and 18 on ventilation.
