Salford has two new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 1,377, up from 1,375 the previous day.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, Manchester now has a total of 3,047 cases (up from 3,041), followed by Wigan with 2,148 (up from 2,147), Oldham 1,930 (up from 1,917), Bolton 1,915 (up from 1,902), Rochdale 1,763 (up from 1,755), Stockport 1,663 (up from 1,661), Tameside 1,547 (same), Bury 1,304 (up from 1,302), and Trafford 1,291 (up from 1,290).
There were no new virus-related deaths reported at Salford Royal Hospital. The Office for National Statistics, or ONS, is also reporting no new virus-related deaths in Salford care homes for week up to 12th July.
Meanwhile, a new interactive map from Public Health England shows positive cases of coronavirus by Middle Super Output Area (MSOA). While the current map is ten days behind the present, showing cases for Week 28 (6th July to 12th July), it does give an indication of where outbreaks are occurring.
For Week 28 it is showing between three and nine cases in the MSOA areas of Swinton West, Weaste and Seedley, and Langworthy and Buile Hill, although it must be emphasised that these are very low numbers and are somewhat out of date...
