After 29 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in four days last week, this week Salford has seen just two cases in the last two days, with none in the most recent figures, leaving the cumulative total to date at 1,345.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, Manchester now has a total of 2,972 (up from 2,959), followed by Wigan with 2,138 (up from 2,135), Oldham 1,884 (up from 1,882), Bolton 1,869 (up from 1,867), Stockport 1,638 (up from 1,637), Rochdale 1,652 (up from 1,645), Tameside 1,536 (up from 1,535), Bury 1,286 (same), and Trafford 1,262 (up from 1,259).
Salford Royal Hospital has also announced one more sad death.
