Salford has seven new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 1,338, up from 1,331 the previous day.
Over just three days Salford has seen 23 new cases of the virus, compared to nine new cases in the first three days when the new Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 statistics became available between 4th and 6th July. While it's hard to predict trends, it does appear that the number of new cases are beginning to rise.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, Manchester now has a total of 2,938 (up from 2,925), followed by Wigan with 2,132 (up from 2,129), Oldham 1,873 (up from 1,868), Bolton 1,852 (up from 1,845), Stockport 1,634 (up from 1,630), Rochdale 1,624 (up from 1,615), Tameside 1,529 (up from 1,524), Bury 1,284 (up from 1,281) and Trafford 1,257 (up from 1,253).
