Salford has twelve new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 1,331 up from 1,319 the previous day. It's the joint highest daily rise in Greater Manchester, alongside Rochdale.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, Manchester now has a total of 2,925 (up from 2,915), followed by Wigan with 2,129 (up from 2,125), Oldham 1,868 (up from 1,863), Bolton 1,845 (up from 1,835), Stockport 1,630 (down from 1,631), Rochdale 1,615 (up from 1,603), Tameside 1,524 (up from 1,520), Bury 1,281 (up from 1,280), and Trafford 1,253 (up from 1,252).
There were no new virus-related deaths at Salford Royal Hospital for the sixth day in a row.
