Salford has two new confirmed cases of coronavirus, taking the total up to 952, up from the previous day's 950.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, there have also been either no rises in cases, or very low rises, but this could be to do with the delay in weekend reporting. The number of cases in Manchester now total 1,631 (up from 1,626), followed by Wigan with 1,219 (same), Stockport 1,057 (same), Oldham 1,105 (up from 1,102), Bolton 1,038 (same), Trafford 842 (down from 843), Rochdale 830 (up from 827), Bury 789 (up from782), and Tameside 778 (up from 777).
There have been no new deaths reported at Salford Royal Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Government has updated its guidance for vulnerable people who are shielding, stating that they can now leave their houses as long as they are able to maintain strict social distancing...
"If you choose to spend time outdoors, this can be with members of your own household" it advises "If you live alone, you can spend time outdoors with one person from another household. Ideally, this should be the same person each time. If you do go out, you should take extra care to minimise contact with others by keeping two metres apart. This guidance will be kept under regular review..."
