Confirmed cases of coronavirus in Salford have been levelling off, with ten or less new cases reported daily now for a full week. The latest statistics show a rise of just four new cases, up to 883 from 879 the previous day.
The trend also seems to true for the whole of Greater Manchester, with Manchester now recording 1,395 cases (up from 1,376), followed by Stockport 998 (up from 988), Wigan 1,080 (up from 1,069), Oldham 985 (up from 976), Bolton 929 (up from 922), Trafford 726 (up from 707), Rochdale 688 (up from 678), Bury 655 (up from 653) and Tameside 590 (up from 580).
Salford Royal Hospital did, however, report a further two sad virus-related deaths.
