For five days in a row, Salford has reported confirmed new cases of coronavirus at ten or under, which could be a levelling off – or could be due to other factors like tests going awol etc.
Whatever, Salford recorded just three new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the tally up to 877, from 874 the previous day, and the number of cases in Greater Manchester as a whole seem to be following the slowing of the figures.
Manchester is now recording 1,362 cases (up from 1,349), followed by Stockport 978 (up from 971), Wigan 1,033 (up from 1,005), Oldham 960 (up from 957), Bolton 913 (up from 904), Trafford 696 (up from 691), Rochdale 674 (up from 670), Bury 651 (up from 649) and Tameside 558 (up from 550).
Meanwhile, Salford Royal Hospital also reported no new virus-related deaths yesterday for the third day in a row.
