As the lockdown goes on, the entertainers are still coming out with some ace online stuff, and today we feature Acoustic Amnesty, Blaney and Joe O'Byrne...
Acoustic Amnesty usually play Salford gigs at Sacred Trinity Church on Chapel Street and feature a variety of performers raising money for charity. During the lockdown this obviously can't happen, and so they have put together an Isolation Live playlist with 13 videos featuring around thirty songs and poems by various top artists, access for which is by donation via Paypal.
The full list of performers is Andy and Dave Fidler, Louise Fazakerley, Richard Lomax (Granfalloon), Chris Flynn, Rose Condo, Scott Heaton, Matt Hill (Quiet Loner), Romeo and Michele Stodart (the Magic Numbers), the Lonesome and Penniless Cowboys and Billy Bragg.
"As you might know, Acoustic Amnesty have run gigs raising money for lots of different charities over the years e.g. Big Issue, Women's Aid, Manchester City of Sanctuary, 42nd Street, Musicians without Borders as well as Amnesty International" says organiser Steven Lindsay.
"As artists in lockdown cannot perform, they thought it would be good to raise a few pounds for some of the wonderful artists who have played their gigs totally free of charge" he adds "Having raised some money, the artists then asked if further monies raised could be donated to the NHS Charities fundraising. So they are."
