Salford Royal Hospital has announced another four sad deaths from coronavirus, as confirmed cases in the city have risen to 368, six up on the previous day.
Manchester still has the most cases of the virus in Greater Manchester with 724 cases, followed by Stockport with 511, Bolton 424, Trafford 388, Oldham 370, Wigan 330, Tameside 308, Rochdale 275 and Bury 256.
Meanwhile, a new Covid19 test centre for NHS and social care staff has been created over Easter by NHS and Salford Council workers at the AJ Bell Stadium. At the moment the centre can carry out 120 tests a day, with the results available within 72 hours.
Staff have to make an appointment before going there and priority will initially be given to staff from Salford Royal Foundation Trust and health and social care staff who are within the first five days of showing coronavirus symptoms, or who are self-isolating due to family members being unwell. Family members who also show symptoms will be tested.

"The immense effort that has gone into mobilising this staff testing facility and turning it into a reality cannot be underestimated and we know having this facility in Salford is going to be crucial in our fight against COVID-19" he adds.
