Salford now has 23 official cases of coronavirus, almost double yesterday's figure of twelve cases. Manchester still has the highest number of official cases in Greater Manchester with 31 but other areas are catching up.
Stockport now has 29 cases, Trafford and Oldham 23, Tameside 21, Bolton 17, Rochdale 15, Bury 14 and Wigan 9.
Meanwhile, as of last Friday all Salford Community Leisure managed venues have closed, including all leisure centres, libraries, community centres, museums and art galleries and Ordsall Hall.
Books at Home is to continue for the vulnerable, as is the Schools' Libraries Service for children and teachers remaining in school.
Salford Loaves and Fishes is closed as a space for clients to gather, with no external agencies offering services on site and no activity sessions offered. However, it will be operating an appointment only advice and support service from 8am to noon Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Clients can turn up and be put on a waiting list to be seen. The service will include: Advice and support (by appointment), Access to the phone (by appointment), and Telephone access to partner agencies.
On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Loaves and Fishes will be offering a takeaway service of hot drinks and light breakfast from 8.30am to 9.30am and basic packed lunch from noon to 1pm, beginning today... "This is a free service for as long as our food stocks last or we are forced to close", states the centre.
