SALFORD HOLDS LIGHT FOR LABOUR PARTY ON SAD GENERAL ELECTION NIGHT NATIONALLY

Star date: 13th December 2019 REBECCA LONG BAILEY ROMPS HOME IN SALFORD, BARBARA KEELEY HOLDS WORSLEY AND ECCLES SOUTH, AND GRAHAM STRINGER WINS IN BLACKLEY AND BROUGHTON As the Labour Party lost seats all over the country in the General Election, this morning Rebecca Long-Bailey romped home in Salford and Eccles with a majority of over 16,000, while Barbara Keeley held onto Worsley and Eccles South with a reduced majority of just over 3,000, and Graham Stringer won in Blackley and Broughton with a 14,402 majority. With a 61.48% turnout in Salford and Eccles, a 60.55% turnout in Worsley and Eccles South, and a 53% turnout in Blackley and Broughton, all three Labour Party MPs held onto their seats this morning. Rebecca Long-Bailey, defending a majority of 19,132 in Salford and Eccles from the last General Election in 2017, was re-elected with a reduced but substantial majority of 16,327. For a while it seemed touch and go for Barbara Keeley in Worsley and Eccles South but she was re-elected with a majority of 3,219, slashed from 8,379 at the 2017 election. And in Blackley and Broughton, Graham Stringer was elected with a reduced 14,402 majority, down from 19,601 in 2017. The full results are... Salford and Eccles Bryan Blears - Green Party: 2,060

Speaking after the results were announced, Barbara Keeley said it was a "difficult night" in "challenging circumstances"...
"I do feel deep concern at what tonight's result for Labour across the country means for the future" she added "In this campaign the country focused on the NHS; what it means to us and how we want to protect it. "Labour is the party which values the NHS and we will always campaign to protect it" she said "But Labour also stands up for social care and I am proud that in this election we were the only party with a plan to fix social care that is currently in crisis. It needs the Labour Party to stand up for working people and public services like SureStart and our local authority nurseries. "We need the Labour Party to stand up for a decent education for all and for principles like the pension justice for women" she concluded "I know that Labour will be back in constituencies across the country because we need a party to represent the many." Rebecca Long-Bailey, one of the favourites to succeed Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the Labour Party, made no reference to the future except for saying "It's going to be, by the looks of things tonight, another difficult five years for people in Salford..." She added that "people in Salford deserve a better quality of life and the sad fact is that over the past five years they haven't had that quality of life. There are families who will wake up in the morning that will not be able to give their children a breakfast and many of those families will be in work. "There will be people walking for miles to zero hour contract jobs only to be told by their boss that there won't be any work for them today, and they'll have to walk all the way home" she said "And there will be people sofa surfing all across Salford or sleeping on the streets because we don't have enough homes to house our people...." Meanwhile the Pendlebury local by-election also produced a Labour Party winner, with Damien Bailey being elected onto Salford City Council with a majority of 924. He polled 2,721 votes, compared to 1,797 for the Conservative's Catherine Bisbey and 518 for the Green's Guy Otten.

| Long Bailey wants to be the new Labour leader, she’s Jeremy Corbyn is side kick, to put it in at easier and better way she is just the female version of him, If this is to be, praying it won’t be the Labour Party will definitely die, just a note to those people who really forget about what’s happened in Salford, Labour party members complained that the members of the Conservative party voted Boris in and it was wrong, but you never talked about when Gordon Brown was voted in to be prime minister by the Labour membership, very forgetful people in Salford and this time you the members will be voting long Bailey to be the next leader of the Labour Party |

They either shelter in the alcoves outside the Gateway, or near to the Brotherton Building, or at one of the entrances to the Precinct. They've never given me any reason to feel fearful, and I've never seen them do anything wrong. Stop demonizing them. They don't do you any harm and it's a cowardly thing for you to stick the boot in such a way. Frankly I'm ashamed of you. I had thought that you'd have been better than this. | Darren! Don't get me started on The Broadwalk! To be fair they tried to do something by removing those benches from outside the church, but now they've shoved the problem 50 yards further down towards Brotherton House where they now all gather under the trees(I keep having a dream of a lightning bolt hitting those trees).They're never moved on, and if it's intimidating for me as a bloke sometimes, elderly people must hate it. Considering it's a main thoroughfare, The Broadwalk is a total disgrace. |

| Just read an enlightening report on the BBC that Labour has targeted the Woke generation and there in lies the lefts problem, for Woke read weak minded fools. They also allowed absolute morons like Owen Jones act as tub thumpers for the cause. What I do though still find hilarious is that so many are still denying the weakest link in the whole chain was Brexit, lesson to learnt there ignore the democratic will of the people and those same people will piss on your chips. |

With regards my background I was brought up in Brindle Heath which you may know is not the most salubrious part of the world and I still live in a Salford with no intention of moving.
Basically you are entitled to your views but I think that they are yours and yours only,I speak to lots of people everyday and your view of the world is not everybody’s cup of tea.

| What has happened is that the ones who pick our PM candidates have picked two repulsive turds for us to choose from, and unfortunately one of these turds had to win.I am pleased that we are leaving europe, but not pleased at the direction what the country will be going in. These Torys are not business minded.They are financial minded capitalists who think money can be made shuffling paper,just like the paper shufflers our Ray talks about. For example ,just after this election was called, the torys were out with the begging bowl to their donnors, saying Labour had more cash than them for the election.It's normally the other way round. When maggie was in power she used to ask her fancy man Laurie Barrat for cash. Barrat gave them millions, but soon changed his mind when the torys fucked up the building trade and he lost 90% of his cash, (about half a billion). Look at those who invested in Kier construction, carrillion and others. do you think they are pleased with the Torys.We need real business in this country, and it does not matter who owns it,as long as it does a good job at the right price, but the Labour lot resent anyone making a bob or two. If only that silly knob Steptoe had hung his true colours to the leave mast.He has always been a leaver till the brexit referendum. If he had , he would be pm today. |

| Kev @ Salford a dump!!! where you live in the lovely cladding twin towers in Salford, Its got the lovely MacDonalds/kfc near you and the lovely Salford precinct, where those lovely people stand on the broadwalk all day getting drunk. Its also got the lovely clarendon park, where you can walk around the broker glass,a lovely play area with no swings, no slides, nowt on it and burnt out motorbikes and get chased by the local riff raff(scallies). Also near you, its got the lovely high st estate (bydon/Edgehill) being bulldozed and full of lovely rubble and bricks. So near you,its not that bad. Some people cannot accept that people of the UK have a democratic right to vote for whoever they want to.
Most people in the UK accept the position when votes go against them, they may not have wanted the result, but they get on with life and carry on with earning a living etc other people seem to just want their own way and never accept what the people have voted for.

This is because it is going to be impossible for that pus filled boil known as BOJO to deliver it. Thus all those working class fools who voted Tory in towns like Leigh, are gonna be enraged. Their sense of betrayal will know very few bounds. One thing is for certain, five years down the line, towns like Leigh won't vote Tory again. In fact I think that within two years or so, BOJO will be one of the most hated PM's ever. In The Final Analysis, winning this election is going to be a poisoned Challis for the Conservative Party. | To read some of the clap trap on here you'd think that there are now Storm Troopers goose stepping through Whitehall. I see that already there were protests in London proclaiming we should "Defy Tory rule & no to Boris" (and obviously a protester was arrested for assaulting a Police officer). This is like the insanity when President Trump was elected and you got morons in Manchester with not my President signs, news for you if your from the UK he isn't and never will be your President but Mr Johnson is and in all likelihood will be for 5 years. Labour lost as they have (tells you all you need to know he didn't resign immediately) a leader who is devoid of charisma, didn't have the intellect to utterly denounce anti Semitism but above all just came across as a total charlatan. | People of Salford decided to leave the European union, our so-called MP who I know is after Corbin’s job defied her people by saying I shall fight to remain, that’s why I didn’t vote for her, she is an absolute disgrace to all those who voted to leave, the cheek of it all she’s not even bothered to say thank you via Twitter or Facebook, we now have to stick with this and her stupid policies and party antics for another five years, God bless us Salford people , The people of Salford clearly have a very short memory of what this party has destroyed and this one is a fantastic city now only been built for the millionaires |
