For its fifth event in four years at the Castlefield Bowl on 11th July next year, Hacienda Classical will feature 'new influences, tracks and club classics' via DJ Graeme Park, the Manchester Camerata orchestra and AMC Choir, which fuses gospel and house.
Tickets for Hacienda Classical 2020 have just gone on sale and it should follow up previous sold out shows. Indeed, since February 2016 it has performed over fifty concerts playing to audiences of nearly half a million. While the line-up for next year will be made public shortly, the format, while updated, is guaranteed to feature all the classic tracks and toons.
"Singing these famous House tunes with the knowledge that Manchester and The Haçienda was at the heart of creating the original sound is an inspirational feeling" says Audrey Mattis, AMC Choir director "With the cheering, and the dancing crowds, we really feel like we're part of a historical moment. It's uplifting to hear the crowd singing along with us from the minute they hear the intros until the very last note."
The event is the finale of the Sounds of the City events at Castlefield which will also feature The Street, Foals, Kaiser Chiefs and more.
