Salford Choral has performed Messiah every season since its foundation in 1947 and recently has been accompanied by Baroque in the North, providing an authentic period sound. The soloists are Lancashire soprano April Grime, tenor Bertie Yates, bass Thomas D Hopkinson and mezzo Rachel Colley, with conductor Tom Newall.
On Saturday, 21st December, Salford Choral is also staging a Christmas Concert at St Thomas' Church in Pendleton with everyone invited to singalong with the carols and to enjoy readings by David Walton.
