BORIS JOHNSON BRANDED COWARD AS HE SNEAKS IN BACK DOOR OF SALFORD TV DEBATE

Star date: 19th November 2019 CORBYN "LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT" AS JOHNSON USES BACK ENTRANCE AT MEDIA CITY Boris Johnson was branded a "coward" tonight as he refused to face up to demonstrators outside the main studio entrance at Media City, preferring to use a back entrance as his police cavalcade swept into Salford for the big General Election TV debate. In contrast, Jeremy Corbyn had earlier met and talked to the gathered crowd, telling them "I'm loving every minute of it and I'm utterly, utterly, determined that we are going to win this election to make life better for those who have suffered so much because of austerity." Demonstrators who waited in vain for Boris Johnson to arrive for the big TV General Election debate tonight chanted and branded him a "coward" as he sneaked into the studios at Salford Media City using a back entrance to avoid them. Police had erected barriers and blocked the site's side roads to keep anti-Brexit and anti-racist demonstrators away from the Prime Minister, who was expected to arrive about an hour before the ITV debate began. Instead, his police cavalcade swerved the protests and dropped him off around the back of the studios, disappointing not only dozens of protesters but also a total of two people who had come to support him. In contrast, earlier, Jeremy Corbyn had made a point of shaking hands, chatting and having photos taken with people who had gathered at the studio entrance, one of whom was Sarah Trousdale with whom he posed for a selfie (see main photo). "Thank you very much for coming out tonight, I know it's a bit cold but at least it's not raining" he told everyone "This campaign is one that we can really transform our country with and win it; win it for the people and bring about real change and real hope to the next generation... "...And I'm loving every minute of it" he added "I'm utterly, utterly, determined that we are going to win this election to make life better for those who have suffered so much because of austerity..." It was a theme Jeremy Corbyn continued during the actual debate, while Boris Johnson concentrated on the Brexit mantra. Anyone who was watching can judge for themselves who won...

| @slurp what about people like me and many of my friends who voted to leave based on all the (now) proven lies spouted by the Leave camp?? We would all now vote remain as we see all of the evidence by the vast majority of leading economists who say the UK will be much worse off when we leave the EU. We were peddled lies by Johnson and his cronies and after 9 years of Tory austerity the country is doomed with another 5 years of them plus Brexit! The millionaires and billionaires will be rubbing their money ladened hands in glee! As for the Brexit party they have shown themselves to be Tories. Use your votes wisely and don’t vote Tory, Brexit or Lib Dem unless you are wealthy and can afford private healthcare and local organic food!! |

| #Alice - I hope people are not going to get sidetracked by your arguments. People need to focus on the elephant in the room and make their mind up on the only issue that really matters.This election is ALL about Brexit. And despite your opinion Brexit is very much about the 'everyday concerns of the electorate' . Everyone should be concerned about the validity of their vote and if it is respected or not. It is the basis of our democracy . And at the moment people are trying, like the previous election, to muddy the waters because another hung parliament means Brexit gets pushed further towards the long grass. They won't tell you this but the attitude in a nutshell is - 'we refuse to accept the vote of a bunch of plebs'. So this issue needs deciding one way or the other for any hope of other pressing matters to be addressed. It really is pretty simple. If you really really want out of the EU or just believe a vote should be honoured you vote Tory. If you really really want to stay in the EU you vote for Labour. |

| An election’s purpose is the allow different parties to present their policies, if they are elected to form a Government. Brexit is a single issue not related to the every day concerns of the electorate. Johnson is fixated on one thing...that’s making a link with the USA and, through free trade, allow our products and services open to the American market. This is why the American pharmaceutical companies are interested. If you fancy an American style health ‘service’ carry in backing Johnson. If You would prefer a society without food banks, with properly financed education and caring provision for the elderly and the disabled and an NHS we can still be proud of ‘Well then, stop criticising the party and its Leader whuchb are working to achieve these benefits. Also please stop wasting the Star’s space with pointless and rude comments. |

| Good to see our Ray doubt the integrity of the Brexit party. I certainly do.I have heard it many times from many of Rays lefty pals that Farage is just a greedy hedge fund speculator just out for his own good. ( just like arch remoaner Gina Miller and her husband , and old Rees Moggy). Suppose this just once they are right. This leaving the tories alone by Farage, and taking on Labour will put it into even the thickest Labour voters brains that the Brexit party and the Tories are in cohoots with each other.This will stop many Labour brexiteers voting Brexit and shore up the thin red line,as ramshackle as it is. The wicked remoaner conspirators will win the day and brexit will be lost. Believe me ,Boris will get most seats but loose the election. I am sure our hedge fund conspirators all know this, and if they have got their puts and calls in the right place they will make the cash Soros made on black whatever day it was look like peanuts. Rees mogg, Gina and Farage will both blame each other or Boris if they can keep their faces straight and laugh all the way to the bank. |

| The whole event was hyped up by ITV and was a non event in my opinion.
I still cannot understand how out of a population of 60.000.000 +
we could only muster the few paltry questions that we got.
The interviewer left a lot to be desired in how she ran the show.
The fact that Corbyn entered via the front door and Johnson went round the back is neither here nor there as far as I am concerned.
I am still unsure of the Labour(Corbyn)position on Brexit and I would have asked him where Abbot and Thornberry have been hiding for the last week or so. |

| @Slurp - QED,for reasons of security certain measures must be taken, when you see the absolute mania and cock eyed obsession in some of the left wing morons is it any wonder the safe and secure option is taken? NO, as I mention elsewhere when you see the deliberate bias shown against the PM (and other members of the Conservative party) it is obviously prudent to avoid the rabble. Though can you imagine the headlines here if the cost of security at such an event was increased? |

| @SS - I apologise I misread the article, although I remain just as sceptical that things transpired as reported, I also note that yet again there is no comment on what happened when James Goddard legitimately heckled Corbyn but was arrested (a blatant attempt to silence his right to free speech).
I also don't think in reality it is cowardice to avoid a baying mob of single brain celled idiots when you are heading to a vitally important live debate. |

| To be fair to Boris and his security team they deserve a break from the tiresome rituals of these welcoming committees. Everywhere he goes whether it's conferences, hospital visits, election walkabouts he gets 'rent a mob' trying to create photo opportunities. In Salford it's 'rent a yob' so it's even worse. You couldn't really do the same to Magic Grandpa . It would look terrible shouting at a frail old man. He might have a heart attack.
