SALFORD STORIES

Star date: 11th April 2010

TELL YOUR STORY BY FRIDAY AND WIN A LAPTOP!

An Apple Mac laptop, pocket camcorders and digital recorders are up for grabs in a competition that closes this Friday.

All you have to do is tell your story of how life has changed in Salford or Greater Manchester over the last 50 years – and you can do this via mobile phone video, a tape recording, photos, poetry, song or art.

Just get it in by Friday 16th April.

More details here…

Has life changed over the last 50 years? Maybe not in Rossendale and Bacup, but round here nothing seems to have stood still since 1960 – buildings have been flattened and re-imagined, the culture has been trashed and re-fashioned, and family life has spun to another planet. For better? For worse?

This competition, launched by Salford University and other organisations, aims to get people to capture the times using the net of video, photography, voice recordings, art, poetry or song.

Further details are available here
Or phone 0161 295 6212
Or e-mail new-mornings@salford.ac.uk

The competition closes on Friday 16th April – so get in there quick!
