After struggling to find proper care for her dad, Frank Blackburn, daughter Jayne Allison has founded her own adult care company, Eldercircle, which prides itself on 'offering a personal service treating customers like family'...
'My sisters and I just couldn't find the right support and the Adult Social Care system was just a nightmare to fathom" says Jayne "This company has been created to support people of my generation who might be juggling full time work, caring for a young family and an elderly relative. We can provide support for the tasks associated with everyday living, so that time spent with loved ones can be quality time together."
Frank, a tax officer who died after a short illness when aged 69 in July last year, lived in Bevill Square, Salford for almost forty years. With his three daughters working full time and raising families of their own they struggled to support him with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shopping.
The new company has no contracts to sign and the service is shaped around an individual. Jayne is running the company from home in Leigh and eventually hopes to offer Eldercircle as a franchise opportunity across the North West.
