Boddan Lodge Over 60's Club, based at Monton Green, has existed for over fifty years, providing activities six days a week, including dancing, bowls, cards, keep fit and trips out.
Now the Salford club has launched a short promotional video to spread the word about what's on offer for potential new members, as former Coronation Street star and writer Nigel Pivaro asks members what they get out of the Club...Answers range from 'belonging' to 'companionship', 'laughter' and even 'my sanity'...
Members are keen to show that, for them, the Club is a lifeline... "It's a reason to come out and not just stay in the flat or in the apartment and do nothing" says Irving.

The Club also has a new banner outside and is in the process of producing an accompanying promotional booklet, as part of an Ambition For Ageing project through the National Lottery Community Fund with the Broughton Trust and Mary Burns Community Group (parent company of the Salford Star).
