Every child in Salford is invited to a bring a bear to a free Teddy Bear's Picnic tomorrow at Buile Hill Banqueting Hall within Buile Hill Park between 1pm and 3pm.
As well as a bear treasure hunt, there's a name that bear competition, a sensory corner, face painting, storytelling and entertainment, a raffle and tombola, and a barbeque and refreshments.
It's in celebration of Salford's outstanding nurseries that have been saved for the time being, and Lee Shannon, from the Fight For The Five campaign, told the Salford Star...
"Join us on Saturday afternoon to celebrate the successful campaign to keep Salford's Five Outstanding council run nurseries open. It's been a long campaign, from February 2018, and now we have a secure future for the excellent nurseries which hundreds of children across Salford will benefit from.
"The campaign hasn't stopped yet" he added "We're working with parents, nursery workers and politicians across the country to challenge the Tories on the funding cuts that all nurseries are suffering year after year."
