Every day for a month, beginning on 1st May, The Faces At The Window are bringing original proper comedy, song and sketches to a platform near you, with podcasts available via Podbean, Stitcher, Spotify and Google Podcasts, as well as YouTube, Soundcloud and the Faces' own website, www.thefacesatthewindow.com .
The team of six actor/writers - Richard Barry, Edward Barry, Steve Cain, Victoria May, Daniel Thackeray plus co-writer/director Ross Kelly - mostly met on the set of Under Manc Wood, a Greater Manchester Fringe award-winner in 2015. This latest venture is based on a fringe comedy show they did throughout Greater Manchester and Salford during 2017.
"Every day for a month, The Faces At The Window will release new sketches and songs that will take the listener on a comic journey through a strange land" states the team "Like a drone hovering over Britain, the Faces will zoom in on the quirky characters and surreal happenings that make up everyday life in this fantasia.
"It's a world in which a soul-crushing trip to the jobcentre can give way to tuneful dispatches about uncles with lengthy catamarans, in which an old soak from Llangennith wrote the original script for Hitchcock's Psycho and the best place to obtain advice on growing cabbages is looking down the barrel of a shotgun" they adds "Every day, there'll be a crazy new character or situation to discover."
Altogether over the month, three hours of content will become available for free-to-listen download the equivalent of a six-part TV series. Judging by the trailers it sounds original, fun and possibly some legends in the making...
