On the weekend of 30th November to 2nd December, there's loads of events planned for a special Salford Winter Wonderland Charity Fundraiser event at Broughton Cricket and Rugby Club that will include a lantern and carnival parade, stage shows, fun fairs, stalls and lots more.
To prepare for the big carnival parade, community groups and families are being invited to the Cricket Club next Saturday, 20th October, for a costume, flag and banner making day, where guests will include Santa and Mrs Claus, Chase from Paw Patrol and Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story.
"This is a free session for any community groups who want to get involved in the parade but can't afford to buy their own costumes, so they can come and make them" explains Cameron Boland from Salford Winter Wonderland
"It's open to anyone from the public and to make it more exciting we've invited these great characters" he adds "The reason we're doing it so early is that if we need more time to make costumes we've still got it."
