Tomorrow, Sunday 23rd September at 11:30am, as part of Heritage Open Days, there's going to be a churchyard trail at St Paul's Church on Moor Lane in Kersal.
There's over four thousand graves at St Paul's that tell a zillion stories...of poverty, of war, of the people who built and wrote about Salford, ranging from the Cussons family, to brewer Joseph Holt and dialect poet, Edwin Waugh.
Every grave has a tale, and the most interesting will be told in a 50 minute jaunt around churchyard paths, led by Anthea and Neil Darlington. The beautiful church and its grounds date back to 1852 and is well worth a visit.
