Next Saturday, 22nd September, virtually all the history and heritage groups in Salford will be holding stalls and exhibitions as part of the annual Salford Histories Festival.
The event is free entrance and anyone can wander around the stalls and find out what the groups do. The full list of attendees is...
Irwell Valley Mining Project, Working Class Movement Library, North West Labour History Journal, Bob Dobson books, Eccles and District History Society, Salford Link, Friends of Salford Cemeteries Trust, Age UK Local History Groups, Friends of Salford Museums Association, Salford U3A Local History Society, Retracing Salford Streets Museum, Manchester Transport Museum, Ordsall Community Arts, Swinton and Pendlebury Local History Group, Elizabeth Gaskell House and FRECCLES and FRoPS Art and Heritage Group.
There will also be a presentation of the annual Frank Mullineux Award, given for outstanding research into Salford history.
