Outdoor spectaculars don't come any more spectacular than a free one night show being staged by Quays Culture on Saturday 9th June...
At 8:30pm, trampoline artist extraordinaire Max Calaf Sevé will be performing Anyday, an up-tempo, visual performance based around the theme of a journey of freedom for a lonely man and his bird; or, as he describes it, a "tumultuous odyssey that transcends the clangs and boings of unbearable hope, lifts our spirits and ultimately fills our hearts with joy"...
Then, at 9:30pm, world class dance circus group Motionhouse perform Charge, presented for the first time as an outdoor show, and starring six performers who use dance and acrobatics to interact with digital projections creating stunning effects.
It's inspired by the role of electricity in the human body, fusing art and science, and Quays Culture describe it simply as 'exhilarating' and 'awe inspiring'...
"Quays Culture introduces the public to world-class arts that utilise the latest digital technology, and this production is at the very pinnacle of this" says Lucy Dusgate, Creative Producer at Quays Culture
"We are delighted to be able to bring this monumental, spectacular show to a huge audience, and invite everyone to enjoy it at no cost" she adds "We have no doubt that this new outdoor commission of Charge will inspire the audience, even those who are not necessarily familiar with dance."
Both shows sound like they're not to be missed...
