Mike Joyce and Clint Boom are taking part in a special fundraising night for Salford Lads Club on Friday 15th June, when the former Inspiral Carpets and The Smiths pair will be talking drums, keyboards, life on the road and all sorts of other personal music memories, as well as the current Manchester music scene.
Mike Joyce has been a big supporter of the venue since 2003 when he was part of a live BBC 6 Music event celebrating twenty years since the release of The Smiths' Hand in Glove, while, last year he donated one of his own Morrissey photographs for limited edition Salford Lads' Club T-shirts, raising funds to take young people from to New York.
Clint Boon has been involved with the Club since 2010 when he hosted a live gig by Liam Fray for XFM, and he took part in a 'Big Draw' Manchester Music Tours project with the Club in 2014. Last summer he also organised a fundraising tea-party event at the venue to raise money for the British Tinnitus Association.
The pair chatting about 'Music, Stories and Top Trumps' will be followed on the night by a Q and A with the audience.
