Back in November, Blaney released a second acclaimed rock album, The Severance, and launched it at the Castle Hotel Manchester. Since then, there's been a tour, airplay on mainstream radio stations and top reviews.
Only last week, the band played two ecstatic gigs in Berlin and, this Saturday, 26th May, Blaney return to the Castle Hotel for what should be an even slicker set than the pre-Christmas launch.
The Severance was reviewed in the Salford Star on release, where its 'cool sounds and proper songs that range from raucous to rhythmic' were raved, and the Manchester show coincides with the release of a new single, Happy Return, a proper rock out where 'magic is happening, I'm feeling free, both hands clapping'...
In November, the Star asked Blaney frontman and Salford Music Festival guru, Ed Blaney, what people should be expect from the Castle gig...
"People can expect to dance, enjoy a great night out, hearing a real set of well crafted songs in a great space" he replied.
This Saturday, gig goers should expect all that again, turned up to the max....
