As a prequel to Halloween, Salford Shopping Centre is running a serious of events for families to get into the creepy mood...
Between Terrible Tuesday (24th) and Freaky Friday (27th) monster money collectors will be taking donations for local charities, and on Spooky Saturday (28th) there'll be free face painting, live performances from The Studio Dance Academy and, from 4pm, children will be invited to take part in a fancy dress parade, judged by someone from Salford City Council (no jokes about zombies, living dead etc) who will hand out a £50 Precinct voucher for the best costume.
From 11am on Saturday, and throughout the weekend, there'll also be a free lucky dip with chocolate treats and Halloween themed toys.
On Sinister Sunday (29th) between 11am and 2.30pm the Centre will be running free workshops making Halloween masks, lanterns and squishy slime.
"Everyone here is excited to invite the local community in for some Halloween fun" says Centre Manager, Sabri Marsaoui "It's fantastic that we're able to offer activities and workshops that are both educational and entertaining, at an exciting time of year for kids. We look forward to getting stuck in and can't wait to welcome our customers in to the centre."
