Next Saturday 30th September sees a Back To The Future Open Day at the Langworthy Cornerstone complete with competitions, workshop tasters and all sorts of stalls.
The Cornerstone Open Day is also hosting a Salford Histories Festival with local history groups and community organisations showcasing their activities.
Participating groups include history groups from Swinton and Pendlebury, Irlam and Cadishead, and Eccles; plus the Salford Red Devils Foundation, the Working Class Movement Library, FRECCLES, Retracing Salford, Friends of Salford Cemeteries Trust, Elizabeth Gaskell House, the Irwell Valley Mining Project, the Manchester Region Industrial Archaeological Society and lots more.
It should be a great day with Salford and its history centre stage.
