This week the Paris Agreement came into force, prompting much debate about the damage air pollutants are doing to health, the urgency to move to renewable energy and away from a carbon economy.
These are just some of the topics which will be discussed at the Kersal Talk on Monday 14th November at St Paul's Church on the edge of Kersal Moor. Other environmental topics such as loss of green spaces, fracking, the decline in wildlife, bees and butterflies will be on the agenda for debate.
Central to all these topics is the major global concern of climate change, from the change in weather patterns to the increased risk of flooding from excessive rain - no stranger to those who live near the River Irwell.
.
At the meeting, led by the Greater Manchester Friends of the Earth, there'll be chances to ask questions, gain information and find out what can be done to save the future.
The meeting, hosted by Friends of Kersal Moor, is free and open to everyone.
