Hosted by the No Turn Unstoned posse of musicians and story tellers, the event at the famous Racecourse pub is set to fill a gap in Salford and, if successful, will travel around other pubs in the city.
"We're just trying to re-ignite the oral tradition in Salford and to encourage more alternative entertainment in local pubs" says Mike Skeffington, who will be telling tall tales on the night.
"We want to do something different and hopefully people will see what's going on, get involved, enjoy it and have a laugh" he adds "We also want to help local performers get a chance to try out their material before a live audience."
One newcomer is Salford stand up comedienne, Sufiya Rehman, who joins folk bands, story tellers, poets and other guest acts in what should be something pretty special going on right in the heart of Salford's Lower Kersal community. Free entry too!
