Jeremy Corbyn has chosen to launch his Labour Party leadership bid at The Lowry tomorrow, 23rd July at 2pm. Unfortunately, however, his `people' seem to think Salford Quays is in Manchester…

Jeremy Corbyn is coming to Salford tomorrow, Saturday 23rd July at 2pm, to launch his Labour Party leadership bid at The Lowry on Salford Quays in what would be a bit of an honour for the city – except that his people seem to think they will be in Manchester…
"Join Jeremy Corbyn on Saturday in Manchester for the official public launch of the campaign to re-elect Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader – along with 1,800 other supporters" states the publicity for the event.
"Something amazing is happening in British politics" states the blurb, although perhaps not referring to its wonky compass "In the past year, Labour's membership has exploded to over half a million – hundreds of thousands of people are finding their voice in a society riven with injustice and inequality. Jeremy Corbyn's leadership has brought hope and conviction to British political life.
"This summer, we are building that project, reaching out to millions of people with a message of empowerment and equality" it adds "We are going to win this leadership election, and build the movement that can win the next general election for Labour."
Speakers at the rally include Salford and Eccles MP Rebecca Long Bailey – who will hopefully tell Jezza where he is. Other speakers are Paula Barker, Richard Burgon MP, Kate Osamor MP, Councillor Yasmin Toor and Sam Wheeler.

| Hi Looking4ward. You sound a reasonably resident. Let me appeal directly to you in saying do not be fooled. Communists and the extreme left wing will use every trick to lure your vote. I have witnessed it 40 years ago which is why I will do everything I can to stop the communists taking over this country where my family has lived for 400 years, fought and died for freedom. What is needed is stability, innovation and a stronger UK to make us great. Not the communist state that will drive us into poverty and oppression. These are reasons why the common sense people in the Labour Party still left are causing Civil War melt down to end the disasterous infiltration caused by extremist gangs. |

| I attended the event at the Lowry on Saturday and must say I was very impressed by Mr Corbin. He spoke from the heart and if he does what he says says Britain will become great again instead of this ME ME ME culture.
I for one WILL be voting for labour at the next election |

| Hi Wrote. You choose to not believe the newspapers but even Sky and BBC news has a string of the same truths coming directly from horses mouths. Today I watched Labour's shadow chancellor John McDonnell on live TV appeal "for an end to their bitter infights that threatens to split the Labour Party". Civil War in the Labour Party is the truth. You can call these lies until you go blue in the face but have to agree a Civil War will end Labour and does nothing to help people that voted Labour last time. |

| I am writing this soon after attending the Jeremy Cobyn Rally at the Lowry.,2000 people gueued around the square with expectations they were going to hear something important. Maybe some came out of curiousity but, I'm sure, all left with a sense of optimism. They were addressed by very talented speakers, who were so sincere, so articulate and so confident that it gives one hope for a future Labour Party. Jeremy Corbyn was greeted with enthusiasm and a standing ovation. He spoke of his belief in the ability of people to achieve change for the benefit of all, when working together. He expressed his objection to bullying, personal insults and every kind of discrimination and called upon supporters to reject such behaviour. His leadership qualities stood out through his sincerity and his calm assurance. He left us all feeling things could be changed for the better. That is Hope! |

| Stage managed event in Salford. I tried to get a ticket but all gone to out of towner families. I got a ticket when Tony Blair launched at the Lowry years ago. I feel Labour has become a trick party. Stage managed. I hate being tricked and will now vote for Owen Smith in the ballot. |

| One little question for the Agent Provocateur we know and love/hate known as Mr Felse...Is he still a member of the Labour party ? If so, with Mr Corbyn in town he has the perfect opportunity to do something about it. Furthermore - if he is - why hasn't he stood for council ? Not being picky , Star - but he keeps going for the top job, as an independent/AN Other party - If he were serious he would have stood with mainstream parties |

The only one making things up is Mr Jeremy Corbyn if he thinks extending a hand of friendship while threatening MPs with their job is anything but the work of a most desperate man. Personally, I would trust MPs more if they defect now instead of waiting to help him fuel his extremist joke future. Burnham and Long Bailey are now representing his joke party to save their seats. I am sure Jeremy Corbyn nor Labour will allow me to demand NO Lies, No Bullying, No Threats owing to me being expelled by The Labour Party - in their words expelled from attending Labour meetings. However as a member of Unison I get a vote to ditch their incumbent as my contribution to the downfall of a once reasonable party that now faces extinction. |

| It is increasingly clear Jeremy Corbyn's position was untenable with him unable to keep the support of the Labour Shadow Cabinet. I expect he will top Labour's membership vote against their new kid on the block. Then Labour go back into melt down with a leader at battle inside its top ranks. Let's see how honest he can be about militancy tendency infiltration, seeing as Angela Eagle MP gets told by police not to hold public surgery. The Corbyn Lowry performance should have been billed as the Labour Party Panto. |
