Never mind Pokemon Go, here comes the Space Invaders, Pac Man, Street Fighter and more in a new exhibition called The History of Video Games: Ready Player One at the Future Artists Studios starting at the end of July.
The exhibition charts the rise of video games, from the vintage Space Invaders and Pac Man to rare Star Wars games, through 80s classics like Afterburner and Outrun, to the 90s hits of Street Fighter and many, many more. All are available to play on classic home entertainment systems like Sega, Nintendo and Atari.
"These are the real machines, some are over thirty years old, restored and ready for the next generation of players to test their skills and see who can be the top of the Ready Player One scoreboard" states Future Artists.

There are four sessions per day, each session lasts three hours with a capacity of fifty people to make sure everyone gets game time. The three hours play costs £12.95, with discounts for group bookings...
Session 1 10am until 1pm (3hrs)
Session 2 1pm until 4pm (3hrs)
Session 3 4pm until 7pm (3hrs)
All day pass £40 (limited to ten per day)
Throughout the exhibition run there are a maximum of 3,000 tickets and it's advance booking only - under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Evening sessions (after 7pm) are for over 18's only.
