After working for Marwan Koukash, a few dobbers jumping on your head must seem like a picnic for former Salford Red Devils star Luke Menzies, who has swapped the world of rugby league for pro wrestling.
Luke moved to Salford two years ago after signing with the Devils and now calls the city his home. Last year a few injuries saw him take a break from the sport and it was in that time that a local pro wrestling school caught his attention...
"Although initially the two sports may seem worlds apart, on deeper inspection they are not so different" he explains "Rugby required me to be physically fit which has transferred well to wrestling where I could be in matches for as long as sixty minutes; plus the bumps and bruises that I got on the field have definitely helped ensure I can take a few knocks in the ring."
Luke makes his wrestling debut next month in Salford, at St Philip's Church, off Chapel Street, when he'll be lining up alongside the likes of Big Damo - `The Beast from Belfast' - El Ligero, Nathan Cruz, Liam Lazarus and Ricky J Mackenzie. He will be joining a twenty man over the top rope battle royale!
It's part of the Wrestlepro and Manchester Irish Festival event, `The Fighting Irish', billed as a day of `family packed entertainment'...
