Dr Luke Blazejewski, a local wildlife filmmaker who has already produced one excellent film on the River Irwell, is about to embark on another documentary about the Boxing Day flood which hit Lower Broughton.
Luke is aiming to tell the stories of the event as it unfolded, and he's looking for as much video footage as possible to accompany them, from cameras, tablets or smart phones, showing everything from the overflowing river to flooded streets, damaged houses and the community clean up.
"Making a record of this event is incredibly important" he says "Salford is generally prepared for what is known as a 1 in 75 year flood, but as the climate changes we need to accept that these freak incidents, known as 1 in 100 year events, will become more frequent."
Any footage used will be credited in the film.
