"Altogether, a pleasant place, marred by activities of unpleasant people whose qualities, perhaps, are sad reflections of sadder environments..." Walter Greenwood from Love On The Dole
In July 2016, Salford Community Theatre Group will be staging an adaptation of Walter Greenwood's Love On The Dole with a cast and crew drawn from the community. Anyone can get involved, with no acting experience necessary, and to encourage people to join the venture the Group is holding an Information Evening next Friday, October 2nd, between 7pm and 9pm at the Old Pint Pot pub on The Crescent.
"Love on The Dole is a Salford story and we're looking for a Salford cast to tell it" states the Group "Whether you have a lot of acting experience or none at all we want to work with you to bring this production to life. Being part of a community theatre production is a unique opportunity to create links to the past and look to the future by building friendships and confidence – not just in yourself but in the area in which you live. It is also one of the most exciting experiences you can have for free..."
The evening will provide lots of information about the production, how people can audition and what to expect, in a friendly pub environment.
