The entrance and club space at Islington Mill are about to get stranger as artists Tasha Whittle, of The Colouring Box, and Jermyn, of Moderate Realism, put a bit of chaos into the brickwork
Between Monday and Thursday this week the artists will be resident at the Mill, using their illustrative and screen printing backgrounds to create a unique mural inspired by musicians and other guests milling about.
"For four days we create chaos, reacting to sound, each other and our residency space" say the artists "After chaos is created, we will curate it into order. For that we don't know what will happen but it's gonna be good.
Amongst the musicians creating the chaos will be Raikes Parade, Negra Branca and
Ed Speed of the Dub Smugglers Sound System. On Friday, 19th June the work will be complete and exhibited between 6pm and 8pm.
It's all part of the launch of Fat Out Til You Pass Out's Burrow – a two year promotional residency at the Mill, and this week sees launch events every night, ranging from James Blackshaw on Tuesday, to Sly and the Family Drone on Thursday to Nappes-Sonores on Sunday (see here for full diary and ticket prices).
Meanwhile, Ordering Chaos will provide the exquisite background...
