YOUGUV POLL GIVES BEZ SHOCK LEAD IN RACE TO BE SALFORD MP
|
|
Star date: 1st April 2015 BEZ ODDS ON TO BE SALFORD AND ECCLES MP The latest YouGuv poll conducted last weekend incredibly gives Bez and his We Are The Reality Party a slender 1% lead over the Labour Party in the race to become MP for Salford and Eccles. The poll represents a political earthquake in the previously safe Labour seat being vacated by current MP Hazel Blears. Professor Wilson, of YouGuv, told the Salford Star that the rise of the We Are The Reality Party can be explained by "new voters" and "high profile mass media coverage". Full details here...

Happy Mondays star, Mark `Bez' Berry is now favourite to become the new MP for Salford and Eccles after a YouGuv poll gave his We Are The Reality Party a slender 1% lead over the Labour Party. The poll, conducted in Salford last weekend, puts the We Are The Reality Party on 35% of the vote, with the Labour Party trailing behind on 34%. The staggering figures can be explained, says Professor Wilson of YouGuv, by "new voters" who are drawn to the pop star's "fresh outlook on politics"... "Many new voters who are disillusioned with the main parties are looking for alternatives and, interestingly, it was those who have never voted before who indicated a preference for the We Are The Reality Party" he explained "In this respect the Green Party is also gaining ground. Amongst this demographic the mainstream parties, including UKIP, are seen as old fashioned and out of step on the current political stage." The sensational YouGuv poll, if followed through at May's election, will represent a political earthquake in Salford where there's been a Labour MP every year in living memory. Even the last General Election revolving around Hazel Blears' expenses scandal couldn't unseat the MP. This time around, with a Labour Party candidate from the leafy Cheshire suburbs, things might be different. "Those polled with the intention of voting Reality told us that, with Bez what you get is just what you see" Professor Wilson added "And they explained that other politicians are only here just out of habit, and that they never help or give to the needy. Certainly the mass media coverage of the Bez bandwagon has had an impact. For this generation and those who traditionally don't vote, Bez is seen as more of a loose fit." The YouGuv poll has the We Are The Reality Party on 35%, Labour Party on 34%, the Conservative Party on 12%, with UKIP on 7.5%. The Green Party is on 5.5%, the Lib Dems have collapsed on 2%, with others on 4%.

| Oh good Howard Balkind comments on this site, that's good we might all get an insight as to which way the election is heading once the postal votes start getting opened! Lets hope he doesn't have a 'heat' attack when the envelopes are opened, whatever one of those is. |

| Bez what a fine upstanding citizen he is...I think I would rather have Michael Felse in drag as our MP! Although there are 40,000 others that would pay him NOT to wear it! If they all put a pound in that would be £40k in his family coffers....All that money for nothing! |

| Good to see Mr Balkind is as charming as ever.I would have thought with him scraping through last May and having his Majority wiped out he would have been a little reserved but no, lets hope your invisible colleague in Swinton South can remember what he is claiming is allowance for along with your good self never seen. As to the heart attack comment well with you almost having one last election perhaps not in the best of taste. |

| Nice one, Stephen. It took me a while to realize it was April Fools day. Good laugh. Thank goodness you did not put UKIP in front. It would have given Joe O'Neill a heat attack and he may have needed to pay the NHS for looking after him. |

| It has to be said Bez would have more chance of finding his way to London than some slack jawed UKIP candidate. He might even represent the people who elect him in a way that the 650 troughing pigs down there at the moment do not. Great April Fools story though. |

| Pull the other one, Salford Star! Highly unlikely - but worth a laugh, in the tradition of the best April Fool jokes. The wheels appear to be falling off the Reality Party bus in the Worsley constituency according to their facebook page - unless that's an April Fool joke too?? |

| Bez, if he gets in, will be the first person in Parliament to represent the people, not the Corporations. In case you hadn't noticed, when the Corporations run the country, as they do, it is called Fascism, easily proven just with the Bank, Medical and Military Corporations (Blair proved that with Iraq)
as to Bez not being able to find his way to London, you don't know Bez, in the slightest. I suggest you look behind the mask, and up your observational skills.
“The definition of fascism is The marriage of corporation and state ” ― Benito Mussolini
"...it is a government by the corporations, for the corporations."--Rutherford B. Hayes 19th President of the USA. |

| Amazing Bez, well done, you have the hearts and minds of the young from this city. What have we been given from the main political parties. If we continue with labour there will be nothing left of this city or it's people. Whole sale sell off and privatisation, fracking and the pollution in the land/air, one of highest council tax, failing schools, sell of social housing, then rent increases. |

| And bear in mind that Bez hasn't really started campaigning yet and there'll be a ton of folk that still have no clue that he's running!!! Once he properly gets it out there he'll absolutely walk it.
And anyone that discounts Bez as a fool is a bigger fool themselves |

| Well I have always tried to keep updated with all the polls on a daily basis to gauge a rough idea on how the parties are standing, like most I try to factor in percentage swings but after reading this I had to pop upstairs for a quick pants change. Could anyone in this world imagine bez in parliament. After listening to the man I felt he would have trouble finding his way to London. |
