Pantomime season seems to have truly gone but as the snow still falls and the nights remain chilly, a new hilarious angle is to be put on the genre via children's classic Beauty and the Beast.
"We've written the show ourselves and wanted to put our own spin on the pantomime formula" says director, Sally Elizabeth "We've breathed new life into it and made it fresh for a modern audience."
Beauty and the Beast tells the story of a beautiful girl falling in love with a loveable beast, who must find love to break his curse. In this production, along the way the characters meet Clumsy Clive, Mother Myrtle and some magical fairies... "It's a tale of love, magic and laughter that's fun for all the family" adds Sally.
Beauty and the Beast is the first full length production by The Reflective Theatre, set up by Sally Elizabeth and Joe West who are studying Drama and Theatre and Comedy Practice at the University of Salford.
"While we're at Uni we wanted to get as much performance in as possible" says Joe "The cast are fantastic, a lot of hard work has gone in and it's really going to show"
