KICKIN' TONIGHT – 16 VENUES, 50 BANDS AND DJS – ALL FREE!

The Salford Music Festival gets into its second night tonight with a massive line up of fifty bands playing 16 venues all over Salford. And every single gig is free.

From Pearl Divers, Zammit, Matt Hartless and The Matchstick Ghosts at the Ashley Brook in Langworthy, to Blue Zen, Franks Wild Years, Sky Valley Mistress and Deaf FM at Wangies in Eccles, the city's going to be rocking tonight and all weekend.

The fifth Salford Music Festival gets into its second night tonight with bands, DJs and singers playing free gigs all over the city.

There's a top line up at The Crescent where Taser Puppets, Factory Acts and Weirds are joined by the ace Girobabies and Salford band Death to the Strange. Meanwhile, over at Wangies in Eccles, four bands will be doing their sounds, including Deaf FM.

Deaf FM's singer, Cherry, told the Salford Star their mission... "To take the music they love, and create something new and powerful. With a twisted blend of rock, pop and electronics, it is music designed to make you move in more ways than one."

Must be well worth a stroll down to Wangies...But then all bands playing tonight are well worth seeing because they're not just your average gigs, this is the Salford Music Festival...with its own unique vibe.
