THOUSANDS PROTEST AGAINST BBC BIAS
Thousands of people converged on MediaCityUK yesterday to protest against the perceived bias of the BBC in its current reporting of the Middle East conflict between Israel and Palestinians in Gaza.
A banner on one of the buses said it all… `It's not about religion, it's about humanity'…

BBC offices at MediaCityUK in Salford came under siege yesterday as an estimated eight thousand people converged on the Quays to protest about the UK state television's coverage of the current military aggression between Israel and Palestinians living in Gaza.
After a march from Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester, Media City was turned into a sea of Palestinian flags, while slogans on banners read `BBC Blatant Bias Corruption', `Israel Is Guilty Of Genocide', and `Caution BBC Bias Hazard'.
One Salfordian present at the demo told the Salford Star… "The organisation of the event was particularly impressive, and there was a carnival atmosphere with vehicles arriving from Blackburn (Youth On A Mission), Bradford and other Northern cities to make their voices heard to a BBC that is losing journalistic credibility every day.
"Salford Docklands has not seen this style of political activity since the days of the dockers" he added "and it is refreshing to see Salford pick up the Arab Spring vibe…"

| what I dont understand is why Zak & his cronies hate the UK so much why dont they go and live with their friend in Lybia, Iraq, Syria. or North Korea.i have no axe to grind on the Middle East but am sick of visitors criticising our wonderful democracy |

IT SEEMS LIKE THE WORD "TERRORISM" IS ONLY FOR MUSLIMS.

| I, Want to point out something that the BBC is failing to report!!! I have spoke to many white friends I have and they all tell me the same thing.... "Zak we had no idea that Israel were opressing and had stolen land from the Palestinians for decades!!!" They have also said that if any other country tried to invade and opress the U.K. they would fight until the death.....
now I ask you this... why are the BBC not making this known to the BRITSH PUBLIC who do not have the facts about why the Palestinians are fighting against opression, murders, illegal settlements!!! and thESE un-educated people who are leaving ridiculous comments when they do not have the facts!!
I thought we lived in a country that was democratic?!!! the BBC are a disgrace!! I have stopped paying my license fee and let them know I am ready to go to court and even prison!! I do not give a damn!!!
Ask yourselves this? not one demonstration has been shown on any of the BBC, ITV, SKY... BECAUSE behind the scenes the Goverments and these Corporations do not want to upset Israel and the Zionist agenda to occupy the whole of Paelstine!!! As citizens of this country have we all lost our marbels? Why are you not asking why when nearly 10,000 people in Bradford had a demonstration it did not make tv? Here in Salford? Also in London? ask yourself!! ask the BBC?.. YOU SAY WE DON'T USE PROPAGANDA? WELL HERE IS IS FOLKS!! WELCOME TO THE U.K. THE LAND OF THE FREE? WHAT A LOAD OF UTTER RUBBISH!!! NOW IF IT ALL KICKS OFF DO YOU THINK THEY WILL THEN BE FORCED TO REPORT ON IT? OR WILL THEY STILL TURN A BLIND EYE? IT'S AN INTERESTING THOUGHT AND IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THIS WILL HAPPEN.... PEOPLE ARE ANGRY AND PEOPLE ARE HURTING WITH THE GOVERNMENT HERE!! | As a Salford Quays local resident, I do congratulate this event's campaigners for their professional and considerate demonstration at MediaCityUK. I think it is a good to see freedom of speech. I do not have an alliance on either Palestinian or Israeli side, but I think we always must expect unbiased reporting by the BBC. I urge the BBC and other news organisations to respect and ensure equal balance views in reports. |

There is no BBC bias, there was, and it was on the "Palestinian" side. Now they do fair and balanced reporting suddenly all the bleeding hearts who know nothing about what it's like to live with constant rocket bombardments are up in arms.
Israel set up a system to defend it's civilians against rockets. Gaza protects it's rockets with civilians.
Gaza fire rockets at civilians and accidentally hit military targets. Israel fires at military target and accidentally hits civilians.
Bit of a difference. |

| I did my military service in '46 and spent some time in Palestine when it was a Protectorate.The Zionists were then just a nuisance engaged in some terrorist activity from time to time but nowadays the public have come to realise that they have become a fearful menace and yet the BBC fails to acknowledge this.Will they even mention the crowds at their door begging them to provide unadulterated reports from the Middle East's most crucial zone. |

There is a Palestinian side and an Israeli side - not a `Jewish' side. Many Jewish people are horrified about what is going on in the Middle East. Next time your comments will be censored. |

| Watching interviews with representatives from both sides on World News Today, which is on BBC4, was quite revealing. Both sides were interviewed via video link, and separately, it was not a discussion. The Jewish side were interviewed first and were allowed to speak without interruption, no matter what was being said. The Palestinian interview was then shown and every time the spokesman was answering a point he was interrupted mid flow by the same BBC interviewer who let the Jewish side be put forward unhindered - no surprise there.
From what I recall, John Pilger has done some excellent reporting on this bias in the past. His stuff is always on ITV, and well worth watching. |
