When Salford Star reviewed Nigel Walker's `Tourist In Your Own City' show at the Salford Museum and Art Gallery, we wrote "If anything can inspire people to explore the beauty and uniqueness of Salford it's this stunning exhibition…"
The paintings on show, as Walker says, is almost like a Google view of the city, with everywhere covered from Whit Lane to Eccles to Worsley. It's Salford as it's never been seen on canvas before and not to be missed…
…But, beyond the exhibition, all the work is for sale – either as originals with prices up to £6000, as limited editions with price tags of £200 and £500, or as posters for a tenner. Which all make perfect Christmas gifts whatever the size of your pocket.
The exhibition is open Monday to Friday 10.00am to 4.45pm; Saturday and Sunday 1.00pm to 5.00pm
