Happystorm Theatre are looking for ex-offenders to create characters and storylines, and star in a short film to be shot around Eccles during the week 14th-18th May.
No previous experience is needed, full training is given and there will be support from professional directors and a film crew.
"People often say they are nervous about the thought of acting or performing" says Happystorm's Susi Wrenshaw "We have been working with non-actors for over nine years and really know how to put people at ease, establish clear boundaries to enable a feeling of safety and creativity and to guide people through a process that gives them a sense of achievement."
Happystorm Theatre are building up a bit of a name working with non-actors, having created the well received drama, The Crypt, housed under St Philip with St Stephen Church, with recovering alcoholics (see here).
For this new production all ex-offenders in Salford are welcome. Just e-mail Happystorm by Friday April 20th with a name, gender and age, plus a supervisor's contact details if on probation and any support that might be needed. producer@happystormtheatre.co.uk
* Participants must be available for the whole week from Monday 14th to Friday 18th May inclusive.
