TORY `GUNMAN' UNMASKED
"By pretending to be 'shooting protesters off the streets' this Tory politician has shown that deep down the Tories remain the nasty party" Mark Krantz, Manchester Right to Work
Here is the face of the Conservative Party Conference delegate who pretended to shoot protestors during Sunday's peaceful March For The Alternative, when thousands of public sector workers, trade unionists and families took to the streets without any arrests.
Our story yesterday drew anger from many organisations, particularly as Theresa May was speaking at the Conservative Party Conference about the "prevalence of knives and guns in our towns and cities" which "wrecks communities"

"As Conservatives, we understand instinctively the importance of law and order. There can be no sense of community without clear rules and strong enforcement" Theresa May
While Home Secretary Theresa May was waffling on at the Conservative Party Conference yesterday about the need to get firearms off the streets of Britain, anger was growing at the exclusive Salford Star photo showing a Tory Party Conference delegate pretending to shoot protestors during Sunday's March For The Alternative.
Our photo showed the pinstriped suited delegate taking imaginary aim at a group of protestors after he had emerged from a reception at Manchester Town Hall (click here). Now that we have unmasked him, the Salford Star calls on the Conservative Party to put its principles into action and force the delegate to apologise to the thousands of peaceful protestors who took to the streets of Manchester on Sunday without one single arrest.
Theresa May spoke of the ConDem Government's new "gangs strategy" which "will need to to deal with the prevalence of knives and guns in our towns and cities. It will have at its heart a relentless drive against the violence that wrecks communities and ruins lives.
"So I will never be ashamed to say that we should do everything we can to reward those who do the right thing" she concluded "and I will never hesitate to say we should punish those who do the wrong thing."
This senseless act by the idiotic Tory surely meets Theresa May's criteria. So what will the Conservatives do about it?
The pinstripe suited `gunman' drew a huge reaction yesterday from trade unionists, human rights activists and those who organised the massive march on Sunday…
"By pretending to be 'shooting protesters off the streets' this Tory politician has shown that deep down the Tories remain the nasty party", said Mark Krantz of Manchester Right to Work, the group that initiated Sunday's March and Rally.
"This is a deplorable act and clearly shows the contempt and disregard which the Tories hold towards those that are concerned about their families, their future and well being" said Colette Williams of Greater Manchester Coalition Against Cuts (MCAC)
"It demonstrates that the Tories are treating this like a game and we are merely the pawns to be taken off one by one" she added "But MCAC would like to offer this clear warning to the Tories and Lib Dems that Sunday demonstrated without a doubt that there is a growing confidence from those that are being shafted by this ConDem Government, and on the 30th November we'll be back out on the streets."
"If anyone doubts that the Conservatives are still the, `nasty' party of Thatcher with utter contempt for ordinary people, this picture should dispel those illusions" said Jim Board, Branch Secretary of Doncaster Unison "While Cameron desperately tries to persuade us that he is a "caring" Conservative, this is the Tory's true face. They don't need to cut, so they must want to and that's all the reason we need to build the biggest fight against their cuts possible."
"The police watch while a Tory delegate enacts a mock shooting of protestors and two days later their boss, the Home Secretary, launches her racist assault on laws that protect our Human Rights" said Dr Rhetta Moran of www.justice4bolton.org "The behaviours are neither surprising nor unrelated. Demanding that the Tory delegate and those police officers be called to public account goes hand in hand with stopping Theresa May's attack on our Human Rights dead in its tracks."
So, Theresa May, David Cameron etc al – over to you "I will never hesitate to say we should punish those who do the wrong thing…"

| What can I say Thomo, you are correct. Thank you for that in-depth psychoanalysis which is so accurate as to be uncanny, although he isn’t my pal, as I have no friends. Anyway, my comment was uncalled for and unquantifiable in any manner. I apologise without reserve and ask for nothing but your understanding. I hope, in time, you can come to forgive me for such a contemptible statement and we could become friends. I could come down to the gym and work on my self esteem and inferiority complex, then to Tesco in Walkden for a spot of light lunch?
okay seeing as we are good friends now, I was wondering... my car is going in for a service Wednesday next week and if it would be okay to borrow yours on that day? I hate catching the bus as they are full of poor people who don’t own cars. Thanks mate |

| The fact is when a young hoodie did the same thing behind David Shameron in wythenshawe he was immediatley pounced on ,wrestled to the ground and then arrested and took away........Do these tory arse lickers and apologists in the above comments realise there were TWO POLICE SNIPERS on the roof with their High Velocity Rifles trained on the protesters.....This was the reality being acted out by this Tory Scumbag whether he was a delegate, stall holder, security or whatever....any decent member of society would have treated the request to work at the Tory conference in the same way as being asked to work at the BNP/EDL conference and said .....NO WAY scum bags ......Do we have a name for this idiot yet or are they keeping that a secret like Thatcher did over Hillsboro Disaster to protect the "innocent",,,,,,,,,,,,,NEVER TRUST A TORY they only serve one master..Capitalism |

| How do you know he was a Conservative Party delegate? The only way to tell is the colour of the small logo on the front of his security pass, which you can't see on that photo.
Exhibitors, the Press and Manchester Central staff all had to wear the same style of pass. Even Hugh Grant had to have one!
The baying mob mentality is pathetic. |

You tories sre all the same - greedy , selfish , self-important , thatcherites with a 'greed is good philosophy ' and sod everybody else . Your lone gunman is a perfect example . So if you get some abuse as your lot wreck the economy , you deserve it . |

| That's funny. I was at Conference as a delegate, and what I received from the protesters, perfect strangers every one, was the most foul-mouthed, screaming abuse. For having the temerity to disagree with them I was informed that I was scum, and worse than a paedophile; friends of mine separately were grabbed, jostled and cut as they tried to enter.
I did meet one nice protester, a lad of about my own age who warned me of how they were behaving before I arrived, saying that he had walked off in disgust at how they were treating the ordinary people who happened to be attending Conference as delegates. Here was a good, honest fellow with a sincerely-held belief that was opposed to my own, but who nonetheless wanted to keep our disagreement on a respectful footing. Why was he the minority of one?
I never pretended to shoot any protesters, and I think this man's behaviour was pretty poor, but to try to portray the protesters as innocent victims of this man's callousness would be a distortion of Pravdaesque proportions. |

| Well done to the Star for catching the moment when the Tory mask slipped. However, I suspect they'll just do what they normally do, i.e. make the noises people want to hear for a while then sweep it under the carpet, same as they did with the phone hacking, etc (etc, etc...) |
