If any place in Salford needs a celebration it's Kersal Moor. The plaque commemorating the Chartists which was unveiled only last year (see here) has recently been vandalised. But Kersal Moor is scared for anyone with a sense of history – the Chartists demanding the vote, the old Racecourse, the oldest continuous sports ground in the country, the home of the famous Salford City FC…
This year, as always, everyone is invited to dress up as someone from Kersal Moor's past with prizes for the best costumes.
There will also be stalls, games, activities and live music from Bessie's Boys Band. There might also be a few Salford Star t-shirts for sale…
Should be, as always, a great day…
