The line up on stage at Chimney Pot Park for this year's Super Salford Saturday looks well tasty, as Salford Music Festival guru, Ed Blaney, comperes some top rap, reggae and rock from Girl Peculiar, Briggzy, Ruby Anne Patterson, A Me B and Jeremiah Ferrari, with the Silky DJs (Costa del Salford Disco) and DJ Mezza doing the vibes.
The focus is on family entertainment and at the Park there's lots of stalls, a bouncy castle, a climbing wall, Miroslav the portrait maestro plus face painting.
Over at the Cornerstone, singer songwriters Albert Thompson and Mark Daynes are playing live, and there's tasters of activities going off at the centre, and proper food tasting too.
"Super Salford Saturday – does what it says on the tin!" says Linda Robson of Seedley and Langworthy Events Group "Celebrating all that's brilliant about Salford – great parks, top musicians and a fantastic sense of community. Bringing young, old and everyone in-between together for a fabulous afternoon of music, stalls and activities."
