Salford's Mid-life Crisis Motor Cycle Club was last seen whizzing around the city collecting toys for the victims of the Irlam gas explosion. But a few weeks ago the club revved up to help Macmillan Cancer Care with a Charity Bike and Car Wash.
"In total, despite the appalling weather and in conjunction with the raffle, we will be donating £588.00 to Macmillan Cancer Care" says Blayz, chairman of Mid-life Crisis Motor Cycle Club
"I personally would like to thank the brave souls who did the washing in their bathing suits Jason, Don and Katie" he adds "And, as always, we could not have done this without the help and support of Bev and Paul, landlady and landlord of the Ship, and all the Bar staff who pulled out all the stops in the evening to ensure everybody was well watered. Also I want to thank the guys from Midnight Blues Project who performed fantastically for us all."
The Charity Car and Bike Wash was held at the Ship Hotel, Liverpool Road, Irlam on July 16th and included a t-shirt printing stall and food stalls.
